Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Dirigent wird Stephen in der Saison 2022/23 Komposition bei Jörg Widmann an der Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin studieren. Den Abschluss seines Studiums bildet ein Kompositionskonzert, das im Sommer 2023 an der Akademie präsentiert wird.
